Presentation to the United Nations ICT Taskforce The BFI project was featured in November 2001 as one of only 6 projects worldwide at the first meeting of the United Nations ICT Task Force at the UN in New York City. With international representatives and specialists from dozens of countries, the BFI project was presented as one of the very few 'digital divide' projects that focuses on the most disadvantaged peoples of the world. This presentation was made jointly by the International Literacy Institute and the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences -- both at the University of Pennsylvania.
