Meriden Public Schools Adult and Continuing Education: Technology-facilitated Lesson Plan (US Immigration)*

Objectives (Learning Goals):

To become familiar with United States Immigration at the turn of the century.

Rationale:

Common knowledge, State and National Standards. Relating to their own experiences.

Technologies Used:

Computer lab, Internet connection.

Other Materials:

Lab worksheet

Learning and Teaching Activities:

Previous reading, discussion, video and photos shown.

The books were printed and collated, distributed and shared for the last class. The book prompted a lot of talking and bonding amongst the students within the class.

Evaluation of Learning:

Lab worksheet and test on immigration term.
