Meriden Public Schools Adult and Continuing Education: Resource Review: Video Projector*

Teacher: David Ullman, Another School Program

Type of Resource: Video Projector

Description:

The video projector takes the images that would normally appear on the monitor and show them on a white screen in front of the classroom.

How the resource was used in class:

The video projector has brought a whole new dimension to classroom teaching. In my particular case, the I teach computer applications and the projector has given me the opportunity to deliver lessons while visually guiding the class on the process.

The things I like most about the resource are as follows:

I like that it allows me to guide my students as a group as opposed to showing them individually how to perform a task. The students are very happy with the results as it increases their comprehension.

Limitations and suggestions to overcome shortcomings:

The only problem is that while I am doing a lesson I am seated at a computer and am unable to watch the classroom and respond to situations as well as I would when I am facing the class. To alleviate this problem I have recently acquired a Smart Board.
