PDK Training Module

This training module is a resource for professional developers interested in helping adult educators integrate the information and tools of the Professional Development Kit (PDK) into their practice. The module, meant to be a one-day training for ABE, GED, and/or ESL teachers, contains:

  • Information about the structure and content of PDK
  • Information about training goals and necessary materials
  • A description of the principles that guided the development of PDK as well as this training module
  • An annotated agenda
  • Workshop activities
  • Reflection and evaluation activities

This training workshop is one of several professional development models designed for use with PDK. Facilitators may wish to consult the Designing Staff Development section of the PDK website for additional information on these models and for other facilitation resources.
